Week 17! (Who knows how many days)

It has been a while since i posted last, No I did not give up. I did just the opposite. I’ve been going even harder and stronger.

Where we left of last – I did go to the free trainer sessions and i think it did an ok job. I did find out my body fat % which was at 24% – 1% away from being classified as “Obese” My weight at the time was 244lbs and at one point before going to the trainer i had seen my weight at an all time high of 251, this thoroughly disgusted me.

Once I got done with the trainer (3 sessions total) I got in touch with a friend from Boston who had run a Triathlon last year and said it was fun but allot of work. He had been planning on coming out to California this summer so i suggested we enter the Malibu Triathlon (I have been wanting to do this Tri for about 5 years) He said sure but wanted me to come out to Boston to do a Tri with him also. SO long story longer… I’m Entered in those 2 Tri’s but also a 3rd Triathlon in June prior to those other 2 just to see where I stand.

The first one is June 24th in San Diego, .5K Swim, 20K Bike, 6K Run

Triathlon #2 is on Block Island, Rhode Island Aug 4th, 1/4mi swim, 12mi bike, 4mi run

Finally the 3rd Malibu Triathlon is Sept 16th, .5-mile swim, 18-mile bike, 4-mile run

So in entering all of these outrageous events i’ve altered my workouts to include a WHOLE LOT more cardio including swimming. I do at least 3 days of cardio and 2 days of weights.

On cardio days I do at least 25 minutes on 3 of 4 machines (Elliptical, Treadals, Treadmill, and Stationary Bike) For a total of 75 minutes or more. 3 days a week, not necessarily on cardio days, i’m in the pool first thing in the morning and swim 1000 to 1600 meters then i’ll go to the gym and do either cardio or weights. I keep my swimming days flexible so i can wake up and say fuck it if i want to. But i go at least 3 times a week.

On weights days I do either Arms (Bi’s Tri’s and shoulders) Chest& Back or Legs. I do abs every weight day.

So with all that i’ve gotten down to 227 and I’m noticing my clothes are getting looser…a.k.a. I’m finally “Getting Smaller”
